6 Other Uses Of Hairspray
Hairsprays are great for holding hairstyles into place. However, they also have a number of alternative uses! Try these out for yourself.
1. Extend the lifespan of cut flowers

Postpone the wilting of a beautiful bouquet of flowers by spraying the undersides of the leaves and petals with a spritz of hairspray.
2. Preserve shoe shine

Spraying some hairspray after polishing your shoes is a great way to ensure that the polish doesn’t rub off as easily with that protective coating of hairspray.
3. Protect artworks/drawings

Apply a layer of hairspray on your masterpieces on paper to make chalk, crayon or pencil drawings smudge proof.
4. Keep curtains clean

Just washed your curtains and want to keep the dust off them for a little longer than usual? Spraying several layers of hairspray will preserve the dust-free look. A handy tip, make sure each layer is fully dried before spraying another layer on.
5. Remove fur from fabrics

The task of removing fur from your carpet or clothes can be quite difficult. Spray some hairspray onto a tissue or cloth and rub it on the fabric. The fur will stick to the tissue with the hairspray.
6. Remove ink marks

Hairspray can help to fade ink marks off fabrics when applied and rubbed. Spray it on and scrub it with a cloth or a toothbrush to remove those stubborn ink stains.
