3 Techniques On How To Blow Dry Your Hair
Most people blow dry their hair on a regular basis. But are you doing it effectively? Looking to add volume to your hair? Want to achieve the perfect straight hair? Want to blow dry your hair so that the ends curl in or curl out? Here are some handy techniques that will get you blow drying your hair like a pro!
What you will need: A round brush and a hair dryer with a nozzle for a more concentrated directed airflow.
1. For Volume
Start by blow drying the roots each section of your hair by lifting it up from your head, directing the airflow in an upwards direction away from your head.
2. For Straight Hair
Remove tangles from your hair with a wide-angled comb. Remove excess water from your hair with a towel by patting it and pressing out the water. Make sure your hair is mostly dry. Put your hair into sections and use a comb or brush to remove any tangles in the individual section before starting to blow dry. Draw your brush from the roots to the end as you blow dry it. Concentrate on the roots of your hair first and make sure the airflow is directed along the length of your hair. Ensure that each section of hair is completely dry before starting on another section as any remaining water in your hair can cause it to frizz.
3. Creating Curled In Ends or Flipped Out Ends
Blow dry your hair exactly like you would for straight hair, but as you reach the ends of your hair, bend your hair around your brush inwards for a curled in look, or outwards for a flipped out look.
Tip #1: Apply a heat protectant before blow drying your hair
Tip #2: Avoid blow drying your hair too often as this can dry out your hair
